Standard camps are the most normal sites for parties to go to. There are usually other people at these camps, so be sure to search the zone before moving a party there.

Alternate Camps:
Alternate camps are the off-beat locales that aren't visited often because other, newer campsites have rendered these ones obsolete, or the campsite isn't the easiest to get to, or has certain other requirements, or players just never caught onto them for some reason or another.

Either way, if you or your party is out for some {adventure}, or if everywhere else seems crowded, feel free to try some of these places. Because of their nature, there'll be little competition, if any.

Merit Camps:
Merit camps are camps designed to be taken on by a group of level 75 players seeking limit points to earn merits points to spend to further empower their characters post 75. These camps are mainly for max level players and will generally not work for players under 75.

18-22 Qufim Island

Comments:
This is likely to be your first camp in Qufim Islan and your escape from the dunes. Your main target here is the Land Worms that spawn around the lake. The worms need to be silenced by either a WHM or RDM. Once they're silenced they are basically no threat at all. There's only about 6 spawns at the lake so you may need to occasionally pull a crab. While the crabs pose no real threat to a party 20+ they do take much longer to kill due to increased HP and defense skills.
The biggest thing to keep in mind at the lake camp is that once night falls there will be two Banshees that spawn here. They are around level 33 and can't be killed by a 20ish party. You'll need to either have someoen higher level kill them or move away from camp until day break.
An alternative camp for these is by the tunnel to Jeuno. There are Land Worms there as well that are the same level as the ones at the lake but there are fewer of them, not generally enough for a group to continually chain.
